Binimoy (Interoperable Digital Transaction Platform, IDTP)Meant to be “Bangladesh's UPI,” connecting banks, MFS providers, and PSPs through aliases. The official figures call for caution: the platform works, but its share rounds to zero, with 217,213 transactions in six months, while BEFTN alone handles 184 million. De facto interoperability runs through NPSB and Bangla QR, and the platform does not appear among the systems the central bank lists as operational. Readers should know that the project is cited as live even though it plays only a marginal operational role.Bangladesh Bank217,213 transactions worth BDT 76.03 crore in H1 2025, or 0.00% of both volume and value across all of the country's payment platforms (Bangladesh Bank, half-year data for January–June 2025)

Mobile money
Rocket (Dutch-Bangla Bank Mobile Banking)The third-largest mobile financial services (MFS) provider, and the only purely bank-run one. Its staying power shows that pure players have not swept away Bangladesh’s bank-led model.Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC · since 2011Together with bKash and Nagad, more than 80% of the country’s MFS subscribers (Bangladesh Bank)
bKashBangladesh's largest mobile money operator and a major destination for diaspora remittances, especially from the Gulf, with a 1% bonus that stacks with the 2% government incentive. The Gulf–South Asia corridor, the world's largest by volume, ends here, or at Nagad or Rocket.bKash Limited (company controlled by BRAC Bank PLC, with Ant Group, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the IFC, Money in Motion, and SoftBank Vision Fund as shareholders; mobile financial services license from Bangladesh Bank) · since 2011More than 82 million verified users (bKash, 2025 statement)
NagadBangladesh's second-largest mobile money operator, backed by the postal service rather than a bank. It succeeds the Postal Cash Card and the EMTS system. It matters as much legally as commercially: its regulatory basis is postal, not banking, so check that point before any remittance partnership.Nagad Limited (service launched by the Bangladesh Post Office and operated under section 3(2) of the 2010 amendment to Bangladesh's postal law, a legal basis separate from the mobile financial services licenses that Bangladesh Bank grants other operators) · since 2019
উপায় (Upay)A second-tier mobile financial services (MFS) provider, backed by a commercial bank under the bank-led model required by Bangladesh Bank. The official register lists 14 MFS services for 13 banks, and most trail far behind the two market leaders. That is a better basis for sizing a market entry than the country's apparent size.UCB Fintech Company Ltd.
Trust And Pay (tap)A Bangladeshi MFS provider listed in the Bangladesh Bank register as “Trust And Pay: tap.” Watch the name: the entity registered with the central bank is Trust And Pay Ltd., not the “Trust Axiata Digital” joint venture under which the service is still often listed. A contract or due diligence drafted under the old name refers to a legal entity that no longer matches the register.Trust And Pay Ltd.
Interoperable QR
Bangla QRA “one country, one QR” standard made mandatory by circular: all proprietary QR codes must migrate. Volume at the deadline was still very low for a country of this size, so the gap between regulatory mandate and adoption can be measured here.Bangladesh Bank, on the NPSB platform · since 202077,165 transactions worth Tk 22.02 crore on June 30 and July 1, 2026 (Bangladesh Bank / BSS)
