Check an IBAN. The way a bank does it, in your browser.
Country structure and length (ISO 13616 registry, 87 countries), mod-97 check digits, RIB key (France’s domestic account check), then the bank’s identity (bank code → name, BIC, city) and the SEPA schemes it supports.

🔒 Everything runs in your browser: Paypedia never receives or stores any IBAN.
An IBAN reads in blocks. Country, check digits, bank, and account.
An IBAN is not an account number: it is a standardized envelope that wraps the national identifier (the BBAN) in a country code and check digits. Its length and structure vary by country: 27 characters in France, 22 in Germany, and 16 in Belgium.

The same checks, in your assistant. Seven MCP tools for bank reference data.
An AI assistant can do what this page does for you: validate an IBAN, resolve a bank code, and search the SWIFT directory. It all runs locally, with no API key, and no IBAN ever leaves your machine.
