Wallets
LINE Pay TaiwanUnlike in Japan, where LINE Pay shut down in April 2025, the Taiwanese entity is still active and is one of the island’s leading wallets. It has been listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange since December 5, 2024. After receiving its license on July 17, 2025, it launched its own LINE Pay Money e-wallet on December 3, 2025, ahead of the end of its partnership with 一卡通 (iPASS) on December 31, 2025. Not to be confused with LINE Bank Taiwan, a separate bank in the same ecosystem.LINE Pay Taiwan Corp. (Part of the LY / LINE group, listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) since December 5, 2024, after filing its listing application on July 26, 2024. It received an electronic payment institution license on July 17, 2025, and set up a dedicated subsidiary, 連加電子支付股份有限公司, on July 24, 2025. LINE Pay has since operated its own LINE Pay Money, and the partnership with 一卡通 (iPASS) that previously powered it ended on December 31, 2025. Taipei Fubon Bank is just one of several partner banks; it is a shareholder of LINE Bank Taiwan, a separate entity.) · since 2015
悠遊付 (EasyWallet)Mobile wallet from the EasyCard issuer: transit payments straight from the phone (Taipei and New Taipei MRT, buses, YouBike), automatic top-up of the physical card, merchant QR payments, bill payments, and transfers. An interesting case of a card-based e-money issuer becoming a full-fledged payment institution.悠遊卡股份有限公司 (EasyCard Corporation) (licensed electronic payment institution, separate from the EasyCard (悠遊卡) contactless card issued by the same company)
橘子支付 (GAMA Pay)Taiwanese electronic payment institution spun out of a video game group: payment account, top-ups, bill splitting among friends, bank account verification for transfers, and merchant acceptance. It illustrates a Taiwanese quirk: electronic payment institution licenses have gone to nonfinancial digital companies.橘子支付股份有限公司 (part of the Gamania group, licensed as an electronic payment institution in Taiwan)
JKOPay (街口支付)Taiwan’s leading private QR wallet, which started with restaurant payments and became general-purpose: dining, taxis, bills, travel, mobility, insurance, donations, and carrier services. The operator bills itself as the island’s most used electronic payment service without publishing any supporting figures, so the claim is reported, not validated.Jkopay Co., Ltd. (街口電子支付. The service is operated by the group’s electronic payment entity, not by the development company 街口網絡 (JKOS Network) to which it is often attributed.)
Interoperable QR
Taiwan Pay (台灣Pay)The common QR brand of Taiwan’s banking sector, created by merging earlier initiatives (including t wallet+). It debits the bank account directly instead of going through a private wallet, Taiwan’s counterpart to ZeroPay or Bank Pay.Financial Information Service Co., Ltd. (A platform launched by the Ministry of Finance, which brought together nine public banks in March 2016. FISC (Financial Information Service Co.) runs it and sets the technical standards. The Taiwan Pay common QR code payment standard launched in September 2016, and the Taiwan Pay (台灣Pay) brand on November 16, 2017. The t wallet / t wallet+ wallet is operated by Taiwan Mobile Payment Co., Ltd.) · since 2017
電子支付跨機構共用平臺The rail that links Taiwan’s electronic payment institutions with one another and with the banks: wallet-to-wallet transfers opened in October 2021, tax payments in April 2022, then purchases at merchants signed up with another operator. Without it, JKOPAY (街口支付), iPASS MONEY (一卡通MONEY), PXPay Plus (全支付), and EasyWallet (悠遊付) would remain closed ecosystems. It is the piece that inventories miss when they list wallets one by one.Financial Information Service Co., Ltd. (財金資訊股份有限公司) (mandated by the Financial Supervisory Commission in September 2021 to handle settlement between payment institutions) · since 2021
