Ant International unveiled close to 100 artificial intelligence products for cross-border businesses on September 18, 2026, in Shanghai, calling it the largest product upgrade in its history. The lineup covers payments, accounts, foreign exchange, treasury, and credit, and includes a business account designed to be operated by a software agent instead of a human.
CEO Peng Yang presented the products to more than 1,100 executives at VOYAGE, the company's annual merchant event. Ant International is the overseas arm of China's Ant Group. The products will roll out to global markets over fall and winter 2026.
Two proprietary models power four business lines
The new products span Ant International's four businesses: Alipay+, its network linking mobile wallets across Asia; Antom, its payment acceptance service for cross-border merchants; WorldFirst, its account and FX platform for international sellers; and Bettr, its business lending arm. All four run on two in-house models. The Antom 3-in-1 Transformer is a payment model with more than 10 billion parameters. FalconTST, which forecasts FX and liquidity, has more than 8.5 billion.
- Alipay+: links Asian mobile wallets for cross-border payments
- Antom: payment acceptance and payment management for merchants that sell internationally
- WorldFirst: multicurrency accounts and FX for online sellers
- Bettr: credit and working capital financing for business customers
Most Antom merchants already use its AI tools
Ant International also says businesses that use FalconTST to adjust their positions have cut FX hedging costs by 30% to 60%. That speaks to a long-standing problem for cross-border merchants: swings in local currencies eat into a seller's margin well before the goods reach the buyer.
A business account run by an agent
The most significant launch is Account for Agent (AFA), which the company bills as the world's first business account built to be run by a software agent rather than a human operator. Autopilots handle five main workstreams, including payments, account management, and treasury, from instructions given in natural language.
Mastercard and Stripe made narrower agent moves the same month
The launch capped a busy stretch for agentic payments. On September 17, 2026, Mastercard unveiled single-use credentials with the Alchemy platform that let an agent make purchases with its owner's card. On September 8, Stripe opened its Link wallet to Meta's Muse agent, also using a single-use payment credential that keeps the real card hidden from the agent. Ant International's move is broader: instead of one payment product, it is overhauling payments, accounts, FX, and credit at the same time.
Timeline
For merchants that sell outside their home market, Ant International is betting that one AI layer can take over work now split among separate teams and providers. Whether that works depends on how far businesses will trust an agent with treasury decisions that tie up their working capital.
